DisplayData, NIMLOK

In late 2019 (though used again in early 2020) Displaydata were showcasing their Electronic Shelf Labels at the NRF in New York City. Not only did they want the full exhibition stand designing, but also accompanying collateral for the shows. In 2019 they also hosted a webinar and wanted to promote it as a direct-mail piece to some of their largest customers.

I created a personalised mailer-magazine, which not only promotes the webinar, but also as a way to promote DisplayData's stand at NRF, and features articles and case studies to hype up the reader for the event.

NRF Show

With the addition of a serif typeface for bolder headlines, I was able to manipulate Displaydata's existing colours and typeface to create a bespoke piece of editorial that their audience was able to keep.

We were initially a little concerned about people not bothering to scan or type in the link to their browsers, however, this ultimately didn't appear to be an issue, as the webinar ended up with nearly 100 clients tuning in to watch their event. It was also great to hear that a few recipients of the mailed-out magazine actually turned up to Displaydata's stand in New York with their personalised copy in hand!

As well as large printed banners which were suspended within the entrance hall of the Javits Centre in New York, looped adverts were also displayed on large screens around the hall to promote each company in attendance, and to highlight its whereabouts in the centre.

Using Displaydata's bright colour pallet I was able to create this simple but 'popping' animated featurette that grabs the passer-by's attention and with a fast-paced motion that creates an element of intrigue.
